The Outback Communities Authority has appointed three new members to commence three year terms on January 1st.
The OCA provides facilities and services to outback communities that are not within a council area, covering around 63 per cent of South Australia, including above the northern Flinders Ranges.
Andrea Triggs, a healthcare leader, Will Fennell, an accomplished lawyer, and Tony Vaughan, CEO of Royal Flying Doctors Service Central Operations, are bringing their expertise to oversee public services.
New funding allows the OCA to support basic services including airstrips, public toilets, UHF communication towers, environmental protection measures and waste management in these areas.
