Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s star-studded July nuptials at Madison Square Garden is still the talk of the town, even halfway across the world. While the couple celebrated their big day in the heart of New York City, one familiar face is still hoping to get a slice of the action. Robert Irwin, Australia’s own wildlife warrior, has officially extended a honeymoon invitation to the newlyweds, and quite frankly, he makes a rather compelling argument.

Speaking recently with Access Hollywood, Irwin shared his thoughts on the high-profile wedding. While he joked about the geographical trade-off between a New York venue and the Sunshine Coast, he made it clear there are no hard feelings. In fact, he is eager to shift the focus from the wedding cake to the wildlife.

Irwin’s proposal centres on The Crocodile Hunter Lodge, the eco-luxury accommodation opened by the Irwin family in 2022 to honour the legacy of the late Steve Irwin. Nestled right on the doorstep of the world-famous Australia Zoo, the lodge offers a blend of high-end comfort and rugged natural beauty.

Guests aren’t just paying for a room; they get perks including unlimited access to Australia Zoo, a behind-the-scenes look at the wildlife hospital, and dining credit at the Warrior Restaurant and Bar. But for Irwin, the real selling point is the atmosphere.

“I mean, you’ve got an infinity pool looking over a paddock full of kangaroos,” Irwin noted. “If that doesn’t say honeymoon, I don’t know what does.”

More Than Just a Photo Op

This isn’t the first time the youngest Irwin has attempted to play host to the couple. Late last year, he famously suggested that Australia Zoo would have been the perfect venue for their wedding ceremony, pitching a backdrop of giraffes and rhinos on the African savanna at the zoo. While the couple opted for the glitz of Manhattan, Robert remains undeterred.

He is even willing to provide the entertainment. “I’ll show them how to wrangle a crocodile,” he promised. Whether or not a global pop icon and an NFL star are keen on getting up close and personal with a reptile during their downtime is another question, but the offer stands.

Why It Actually Makes Sense

While it might seem like a cheeky bit of PR, there is a certain charm to the idea. After months of intense media scrutiny and a massive wedding in the busiest city on earth, the quiet, wild expanse of Queensland might be exactly what the couple needs.

The lodge was a long-held dream of Steve Irwin, designed to immerse guests in the natural world while providing a high-end experience. For a couple that has spent the last year constantly in the spotlight, the privacy and relative seclusion of a luxury lodge in the Australian bush could provide a welcome change of pace.

Whether or not Taylor and Travis take him up on the offer remains to be seen. But if they are looking for a honeymoon that trades paparazzi for kangaroos and skyscrapers for infinity pools, they know exactly who to call.
