The much-loved and longest-running gaming show on Australian television has been axed.

In the time the show has been on the air, Eddie revealed there have been four millionaires in total, two from Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and two from Millionaire Hot Seat. But there have been many people who have won $250,000 and $500,000 over the years.

Eddie has been the show’s only host since its premiere in 1999 and even through the show’s switch to the hot seat format in 2009.

Eddie concluded with, “It changed my life, it changed a lot of people’s lives. Thank you for all your support”.

We’ll have to soak in all the final “Lock it in, Eddie” moments as we begin to farewell one of Australia’s most loved shows.
