Unlike toilet paper, wet wipes don’t break down easily, clumping together and clogging sewage flow.

A substantial mass of wet wipes was discovered in a sewer pipe, requiring a specialized truck to remove them.

A Water recorded about 1,200 wet wipe-related blockages in their sewer network in the 2022-23 period.
