An Adelaide horse trainer has used quick thinking to prevent a disaster at the recent Quorn Cup.
Morphettville trainer Darryl Carrison has told News Corp of the moment he noticed a horse break away from its attendant and start galloping the wrong way on the track towards other horses during a race.
Mr Carrison said he ran towards the loose horse and waved his jumper to get its attention, causing the horse to veer off the track.

Thankfully no one was harmed in the incident however the race was declared void.
