Suspicious Fire in Port Augusta Has SAPOL Searching

A suspicious fire in Port Augusta’s rural grassland has SAPOL actively searching for its cause.

On September 24, emergency services responded to calls reporting a fire on Prosser Street, Port Augusta.

Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire covering 200 square meters in rural grass and scrubland.

Quick action by MFS and CFS teams using high-pressure lines successfully contained the fire within just 15 minutes.

SAPOL is currently treating the fire as suspicious and continuing their investigations.
