The state faces a looming demand for skilled workers across diverse sectors.
According to the Skills Outlook 2023 report, around 100,000 vocational education training (VET) qualifications are needed in the next five years.
Industries like construction and manufacturing require VET qualified professionals.
The state government is addressing this by granting over $5 million to training providers, including TAFE SA.
High-demand sectors like bricklaying and electrical trades will benefit from $2.45 million to develop courses and support students.
Additionally, new Skills Centres in Cleve and Port Augusta will offer resources and specialized facilities in regional areas.
