Preparing for an anticipated hot and dry bushfire season, SA has assembled its largest aerial firefighting fleet ever totaling 31 aircraft, an increase of five new additions from the previous year.
With a $26.7 million investment the aircraft, including two Blackhawk helicopters, bolster the state’s fire defense capabilities.
The expanded fleet now enables live streaming of aerial intelligence, empowering real-time fire assessments and decision-making.

Additional aircraft will be stationed on the Eyre Peninsula and Mid North to protect vital industries and communities.
