Since November 2022, Port Augusta’s Hancock Stadium has had an extensive transformation, addressing a range of issues to revitalise the venue.
Initial repairs targeted ceilings, grandstands, and external structures, revealing additional damage that expanded the project’s scope.
A new lower external roof, upgraded electrical systems, termite-damaged timber replacements, and enhanced fire safety measures have been added.

Currently, mechanical services are receiving an overhaul, accompanied by the installation of steel bracing and asbestos removal.
The anticipated completion is currently October to align with the upcoming basketball season.
