Police are warning businesses in the Mid North to be on high alert after a recent phone scam.
On Sunday, a Clare business fell victim to a scam.
A caller, claiming to be from the same company, requested voucher numbers and pins, pretending to resolve point-of-sale terminal issues.

Sadly, staff realized they had been scammed after the fact.
Authorities urge everyone to be cautious.
Verify the identity of callers before divulging personal or banking information and never share sensitive details with unknown individuals.
