Police Detected a Drug Driver at Port Pirie Early Friday Morning

Police detected a drug driver at Port Pirie early Friday morning.

A Mitsubishi sedan was topped on Senate Road and submitted the driver to a roadside drug test.

She allegedly produced a positive result to cannabis and methamphetamine.

The woman was found to be disqualified from driving and the vehicle was unregistered and uninsured.

Additionally, In the early hours of Friday police stopped a Holden sedan on Main Road for roadside alcohol and drug testing.

The driver, a 31-year-old woman from Port Pirie, allegedly returned a positive result to methamphetamine.

On a positive result from forensic analysis, she will be issued with an expiation notice for drug driving and breaching her licence conditions.

She was further issued with an instant loss of licence for 3 months.
