The Northern and Yorke Landscape Board has allocated over $245,000 in Grassroots Grants to support community, First Nations, councils, and volunteers caring for the region’s landscapes.
This year’s program will initiate 23 new projects and extend eight existing ones, focusing on land, water, and nature conservation.
For the first time, a dedicated funding pool of $50,000 was introduced for First Nations-led projects.
Three First Nations organizations received $10,000 each, while projects promoting education about First Nations’ culture also received support.
