SES volunteers in Port Augusta and Hawker now have extra tools on hand with the arrival of new storm trailers.
The $40,000 units are fitted with lighting, power generation, and specialist equipment, helping crews respond faster and more safely in extreme weather.
It’s part of a $200,000 investment delivering trailers to five SES units across the state.
Emergency Services Minister Emily Bourke said the new trailers are an important investment to give skilled SES personnel easy access to the tools they need out in the field when wild weather hits.
This rollout is the last of 50 new trailers distributed to SES Units over the past six years, with nearly 60 storm trailers now in place across the state.
