After over a decade of ill-treatment of animals, two Mid-North brothers have now been found guilty of mistreatment.
Desmond and Allan Traeger were charged with four counts of neglect and mistreatment, after the RSPCA visited their three properties back in 2018 and found more than 50 dead cattle.
70 animals were emaciated and malnourished, with a bull and an unshorn sheep needing to be put down.

They have been placed on a two-year good behaviour bond, will be unable to own any more animals, and have been ordered to pay over $6000 in legal fees.
