Those working for the Australian Defence Force around Cultana could be in luck.
Ahead of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Treasurer Jim Chalmers presenting their second budget, the government plans to tackle the recruitment and retention crisis within the ADF by offering approximately 3400 soldiers a $50,000 bonus to re-enlist for an additional three years after their initial service period.
The initiative is expected to cost $400 million over the forward estimates, following a decade-high resignation rate among ADF personnel last year.
