The Yorke Peninsula Council has elected its first female Mayor.
Kylie Gray won the recent supplementary election, and was provisionally declared on 23 September after she secured more than 72 percent of the votes.
Ms Gray said she looks forward to the challenges and opportunities for growth the role will bring.
““I believe education and open communication are key to creating positive connections across our community and empowering people with knowledge – helping Council make thoughtful and balanced decisions for the future of our district,” she said in a statement.
Ms Gray previously served as a Councillor, with a supplementary election for her former seat to be announced at a later date.
