Calls for Mandatory Roadworthy Testing at Point of Sale

Concerns have been raised about SOUTH AUSTRALIA’s car fleet.
The MOTOR TRADES ASSOCIATION is calling for mandatory roadworthy testing at the point of sale, much like other states.
It says 150-thousand second hand cars are sold privately each year with NO guarantee of roadworthiness.
But the RAA says it supports the current system which sees Police carry out random roadside vehicle inspections.
