Balaklava’s Town Hall has unveiled a new musical exhibit celebrating the town’s rich musical history.
The exhibit, a collaboration between Balaklava Community Arts and the Town Hall Committee, features a sculpture in the shape of a treble clef and a bass clef with musical notes.
Thanks to a grant from Wakefield Regional Council, the hall’s front garden has been beautified with this unique tribute.
The chosen musical notes are from the beloved show tune ‘There’s No Business Like Show Business’ from ‘Annie Get Your Gun.’
The sculpture pays homage to the venue that has hosted numerous musical productions and the town’s renowned Eisteddfod. (uh·sted·fuhd)
To continue enhancing the Town Hall’s facilities, plans are in place to upgrade the sound system with A Gala Concert in October aiming to raise funds for this project.
