Annual fox-baiting program begins in Southern Flinders parks

The Department for Environment and Water is carrying out its annual aerial fox-baiting program across several national parks in the Southern Flinders Ranges from today.

Baits will be laid within Mount Remarkable, Wapma Thura–Southern Flinders Ranges, and Dutchmans Stern Conservation Parks to help protect threatened native species.

This includes the yellow-footed rock wallaby.

Residents and visitors are reminded that fox baits are toxic to pets and livestock, and are urging extra caution near park boundaries.
