Yorke Mid North towns feature in Ag Town of the Year shortlist

Five Yorke Mid North towns have been named among the top ten finalists for this year’s Ag Town of the Year award.

Burra, Crystal Brook, Orroroo, Coobowie and Moonta Bay have all made the shortlist, giving the region strong representation in the statewide competition.

While the Yorke Mid North is yet to claim the title, several towns have come close in recent years. Crystal Brook and Orroroo were both top finalists in 2022, while Orroroo also featured in 2021 and Burra reached the final stage in 2024.

The shortlisted towns will now submit a written application to an independent judging panel, with the final three contenders to be announced later this year.
