Wool Bay man charged after allegedly driving nearly six times over limit

A 68-year-old man from Wool Bay has been caught drink driving nearly six times over the legal limit on the Yorke Peninsula.

The man allegedly returned a breath test of 0.281, and checks revealed he was disqualified from driving and the car was unregistered and uninsured.

He’s now facing multiple charges, including drink driving and driving while disqualified, unregistered and uninsured.

Authorities have also extended his licence ban by 12 months, clamped his car for 28 days.

He’ll appear in the Maitland Magistrates Court at a later date.
