State budget boosts funding for Regional and Local Development

FUNDING.jpgMinister for Regional Development and Local Development the honorable Geoff Brock, has congratulated the state government for their $105 million contribution to the Regional Development Fund.

Mr Brock says the $105 million delivered as part of the 2017/18 state budget, reflects an ongoing state government commitment to the Regional Development Fund through to 2020/21.

Funding to the RDF has steadily increased across the last two state budgets, including a sizeable $30 million and $15 million contributions.

Mr Brock says the funding was important as the RDF continued to support projects and initiatives to build new infrastructure, drive economic growth and create new jobs.

So far more than 90 projects under the RDF have created more than 2,000 jobs and supported more than $900 million worth of economic activity in regional SA.
