Army exercises in Whyalla today

The cadets from the Royal Military College - Duntroon (RMC-D) will be active in the following locations:

Between the hours of 06:00am – 11:59am expect to see people with weapons and hear some blank firing in or around the below areas: Vehicle Check Point will be established McDouall Stuart Ave; Bennett Oval; Anderson Raceway and Racecourse Rd; Sea Rescue building near the Marina; There will be a Vehicle Check Point near McBryde Terrace and Arthur Glennie Ave; A Vehicle Check Point will be established near Newton St, Kirwan St and Dunstone St

Between the hours of 12:00pm – 06:00pm expect to see people with weapons and hear some blank firing in or around the below areas: There will be a Vehicle Check Point near Flinders Ave and Hall St; There will be a Vehicle Check Point near Lee St and Winton St; At Roopena Football Club there will be a crowd control scenario; Rifle Club; There will be a Vehicle Check Point in the Mullaquana area; Wilson Park; Tanderra Village; Kart Club

Between the hours of 06:00pm – 11:59pm expect to see people with weapons and hear some blank firing in or around the below areas: Geddes Reserve on the corner of Lee St and Winton St; Fisk St School; UNI SA carpark; 89 Nicolson Avenue; Communications tower near the corner of Elliot St and Essington Lewis Ave; The Whyalla Golf Club; Steel City Raceway
