A driving instructor has captured video of what appears to be an unrestrained baby leaning on the dash board of a moving car in the CBD.
Craig Waters uploaded dash-cam footage to social media after spotting the infant with its face near the windscreen and hands on the dash of the slow-moving Hyundai on Sunday morning.
According to the post the car was occupied by a couple, suggesting the infant may have been standing on the lap of the passenger.
Mr Waters, who is a founder of road safety business Idrivesafety, immediately called triple zero, although it is not clear whether police managed to intercept the white Hyundai.
However, the footage clearly shows the vehicle's registration plate.
In his Facebook post Mr Waters pointed out that there is no valid excuse for driving with an unrestrained child.
