A man charged with stabbing his grandmother to death on the NSW south coast is facing a second murder charge when he faces court on Monday.
Murray Deakin, 20, allegedly stabbed his grandparents at their Bega home on Friday afternoon - his grandmother did not survive.
While fleeing the scene he allegedly attempted to carjack a 55-year-old man who was struck in the head with a hammer.
He died on Sunday afternoon.
Deakin, who was apprehended after a manhunt, was refused bail and is expected before Batemans Bay Local Court again on Monday.
NSW Police are expected to charge him for the second death when he appears in court.
