A truck driver was issued a load safety expiation notice and fined over $1000 dollars last Thursday, after hitting the Augusta Highway with dangerously secured goods.
The truck had a van positioned above the cabin, and police witnessed it nearly fall off when heading through Warnertown.
When police stopped the vehicle, they found it was only secured by one wheel to the trailer, causing it to sway and nearly tip over.
The driver, a 31-year-old Victorian man, was issued an expiation notice for load safety breaches and work diary offences totalling over $1000.
He was also issued a cease work direction to unload and rectify the restraint and positioning of the van to make it safe to transport.
