Young female footy players from Port Augusta and Whyalla were treated to a training session from an AFLW premiership player over the weekend.
As part of the Port Augusta Women's Football Competition season launch, Adelaide Crows player Eloise Jones kicked the season into gear with a training day for the girls wanting to get into football.
Players from the three Port Augusta clubs, along with a couple from the Whyalla team, were taken through basic skills from kicking to tackling.
After the session, Ms Jones said she was looking forward to doing some more programs in the future and coming down as much as possible to help out with clinics and the local leagues.
