In order to stop the spread of COVID in the community and to ensure the health of volunteers, artists and attendees, the Copper and Stone Music Festival in Burra will become a vaccinated only event.
The festival, set to be held on the 5th of February, will now only allow entry to people of eligible age that are fully vaccinated, with ticket holders who are not able to provide proof of vaccination denied entry.
Medically exempt people will need to show a certificate of exemption along with photo identification and a recent negative test result.
Event director, John Simpson, says the decision was made because of the number of COVID-positive people in the state.
"We just want to make sure that, as organisers we're bringing up to 1,000 people in one go and we just want to make sure that it's not us that triggers something that's actually currently not too bad in that area," he said.
