Several sporting clubs across the region will share in $20-million dollars of State Government funding to upgrade their facilities.
82 applicants were successful in the latest rounds of the Regional and Districts Facilities, the Grassroots Facilities and the Community Recreation and Sports Facilities Programs.
The Moonta branch of the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia received $50,000 to construct a clubhouse with all access amenities, whilst the Barunga West Council received over $110,000 to resurface courts in Bute, Alford and Port Broughton.
In Clare, the local council received over $20,000 to construct shelters, amenities and seating at the Clare Valley Short Walks.
