YP, Port Augusta And Whyalla All Represented At The 2021 SA Community Achievement Awards

Yorke Peninsula Community Care and Transport won the Rural Doctors Workforce Agency Rural Community Health and Wellbeing Award at the 2021 SA Community Achievement Awards in Adelaide on Saturday evening.

The Yorke Peninsula, Whyalla, and Port Augusta were all represented; with Port Augusta City Council’s Health Focus program making the top three finalists, along with Kimberley Pursche from Whyalla who is a training coordinator at Centacare Catholic Country SA, and Yorke Peninsula Community Care and transport, which is a not-for-profit organisation providing transport to the wider Yorke Peninsula.

The Award acknowledges the services and efforts provided by volunteers, carers and health professionals who play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of those who depend on them.
