The South Australian Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub in Port Augusta, along with seven other locations, are being expanded with help from additional Australian Government funding.
Minister for Agriculture and Northern Australia, David Littleproud, announced that extra funds will be allocated to the SA Drought Hub to undertake broader innovation activities.
An extra $20 million in additional funding across eight Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub nodes, is hoped to accelerate agricultural innovation, drive commercialisation and create jobs.
The SA Drought Hub will soon appoint a permanent Director, node coordinators and a node team leader which will further boost regional employment and investment.
Shopfronts for each of the nodes are also set to be established over the coming months.
