What's On Around The Region This Weekend?

Several events are set to go ahead around the region this weekend.

The 156th Clare Show is on again this year after being forced to cancel the 2020 event due to Covid.

The Garden Hub, and ‘Lego Legends’ kids Lego competition are both new additions to the program, joining returning favourites; show bags, pony and camel rides, sideshows, dog jumping, shearing, horse eventing, helicopter rides, livestock exhibits, and the Army band.

Then from 8pm the fireworks show will be back better than ever.

General admission gate opens at 9am, with parking on site for a gold coin donation.

A new Relay for Life format will be coming to Port Augusta also tomorrow afternoon.

Featuring inspirational Ceremonies, live bands and track-side entertainment, all to raise funds for the Cancer Council’s research, prevention, information and support services.

Held at Chinnery Park Oval the festivities will begin at 1pm and conclude at 9pm.

Rock the Ranges with headliners, Eskimo Joe, will hit the stage in Quorn tomorrow for a full day of entertainment.

Eskimo Joe have racked up a long list of impressive accomplishments, enjoying 35 ARIA nominations in their career thus far, and performing at many significant events such as Sound Relief, Make Poverty History, and Splendour in the Grass – and now they add Rock the Ranges.

Eskimo Joe will be joined by Chunky Custard, Andy and the Rockits, Critical Limit, Acoustic Juice and Jo Page with gates opening at 11.00am and the headliners kicking off from 6pm.

And the Goyder Gardens open weekend will bloom in the Mid-North, all within an hour of Burra.

Explore a collection of interesting and diverse gardens, from country cottage to more formal layouts, combined with complimentary stallholders and presenters offering morning teas and music.
