The Mid-North’s first-ever apprenticeship training centre is set to open in early 2022, based on Burra Road in Saddleworth.
The purpose-built training centre is designed to meet critical on land business demands for the future, and propel the next generation of apprentices for New Holland Vater machinery business sites located at Saddleworth, Nuriootpa and Kadina.
The new facility will help address the growing demand for highly-skilled parts and service technicians in the agriculture and viticulture industries.
10 apprentices, across years one to four of their training, will learn how to diagnose and service tractors, combines, hay and handling equipment and construction machinery.
The centre also has the scope to become available to other organisations for small group trainings.
