This weekend in local footy, the SGL polished off the regional footy season with the Grand Final match at Central Oval on Saturday afternoon.
This year’s final was an all-Port Pirie affair, Solomontown and PropRisdon fighting it out all the way down to the wire.
Sollies led the whole game until three-quarter time when the Lions brought it back to tie it up on 64 a piece on the final siren.
In the 10 minutes overtime, PropRisdon kept their fourth term momentum going and sealed the premiership with a final score of 65 to 79.
The match was played in front of a crowd of 2500 people.
