Registrations are now open for Yorke Peninsula Council’s Garage Sale Trail event.
Powered locally by Yorke Peninsula Council, the national festival encourages residents to sell, shop and learn about the circular economy.
A circular economy means items are kept in use for as long as possible, therefore delivering the highest value for money possible.
This year’s Garage Sale Trail will be held across two weekends both online and in local yards, Covid permitting, on November 13-14 and November 20-21.
Yorke Peninsula Council Mayor Darren Braund said the Garage Sale Trail would be a win-win for the planet and residents’ pockets.
“After last year’s Garage Sale Trail was forced to move entirely online due to COVID-19 restrictions, we expect locals to really get behind the initiative this year as true community garage sales are again allowed,” says Mr Braund.
“Whether hosting a sale virtually or in person, sellers receive a bunch of resources and tips to make their sale a Covid-safe success, including touch-free QR code payments enabled by PayPal.”
