Cancer Council SA’s regional roadshow is heading to the Clare Valley this Wednesday to host a Cancer Screening education session.
The session is designed to inform regional South Australians on the importance of the early detection of cancer, which can have drastic impacts on mortality rates.
Regional Cancer screening rates in South Australia fall well below the State average, specifically in the Mid North among other outback regions.
The session will include topics such as breast, bowl and cervical cancer and their screening programs, as well as what screening tests you and your family are eligible for and where to access them locally.
Take-home information and resources will be available at the event to support participation in national screening programs.
When: Wednesday, 14 April 2021, 2-4pm ACST
Where: Function Room, Clare Town Hall
229 Main North Road, Clare, SA 5453
