Students at Port Pirie West Primary School, Airdale Primary School and Napperby Primary School will be getting a visit from KESAB today for some education sessions, centred around keeping South Australia Beautiful.
The visit will assist students to get a better understanding about the importance of recycling, and what materials go in which kerbside bins. The KESAB team will also deliver a session on Beeswax Wrap – a workshop that allows students and staff to create their own personalised plastic-free alternative to cling wrap.
Other sessions include 'Litter Less' & 'Recycling Relay'
The Litter Less incursion focuses on awareness, understanding and actioning of litter issues at school, in the community and the environment.
The 'Recycling Relay' sees children work in relay teams to sort real life items into landfill, recycling and organics bins replicating the kerbside collection system.
