The Local Government Association of SA has launched an expression of interest process for councils wanting to take part in a corella management trial.
The native birds flock to regional towns during hotter months in search of water, and cause problems in local communities with excessive noise, stripping bark from trees, and chewing up lawns and ovals.
The Little Corella Management Report will look into the effectiveness of habitat interventions, using screens and even non-lethal shock tools in trees to control where the birds can perch.
Expressions of interest are open until the May 30.
Councils affected by corellas can register their interest for this trail through the LGA website HERE.
