According to researchers, homes in the Goyder region have had the highest growth price over a three-month period.
Despite the country being in recession, figures from realestate.com.au have revealed that South Australia’s regional centres are booming, with Goyder topping the list of council areas that recorded the highest growth.
Goyder’s median house price climbed 35 per cent, while the Whyalla council region recorded the second highest growth, with its median house price increasing 25 per cent.
Chief economist at realestate.com.au Nerida Conisbee has said, “For now, it does look like regional Australia is the place to be, but the next 12 months is critical when it comes to COVID-19 management and the likelihood of an effective vaccine, for this regional trend to continue.”
