A woman has been arrested after being caught speeding and drink-driving at Cadney Park in the State’s far north yesterday.
Police will allege that patrols detected a Nissan SUV travelling at 171 in a 110 zone. When police stopped the car the driver, a 33-year-old Mimili woman underwent a breath test and returned a positive reading of 0.094.
She was charged with driving at a dangerous speed, driving while disqualified, driving an unregistered motor vehicle, exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol and providing a false name to police.
She was issued with a six-month immediate loss of licence notice and her car was impounded for 28 days.
The driver was bailed to appear in court at a later date.
