The Horrocks Highway has been recognised as one of the state's riskiest roads by the RAA.
More than 1,300 road users have completed a Risky Roads Survey conducted by the RAA, in an effort to give motorists, cyclists and pedestrians the opportunity to nominate a road or intersection they believe needs repairs or major upgrades.
A lack of overtaking opportunities on Horrocks Highway was identified as a key safety issue, which has highlighted the need for ongoing maintenance along the notorious stretch.
Between 2014 and 2018, there were 107 casualty crashes resulting in six deaths and 156 injuries along Horrocks Highway.
The Federal and State governments have committed to a combined $55 million dollars allocated to repairs, yet the RAA survey results suggest that the work may need to be undertaken more urgently.
