Police had a busy weekend in Wallaroo, with five cars being impounded for 28 days.
A 35-year-old man from Kadina was arrested for driving disqualified. He was refused police bail and will appeared in court yesterday. He also provided a positive drug test for methamphetamine. His vehicle was impounded for 28 days and a pending results from Forensic Services he may be reported for drug driving.
A 40-year-old man from Wallaroo was reported for dangerous driving to cause a police pursuit, unlicensed, unregistered, carry offensive weapon after he attempted to elude police who did not chase him due to his manner of driving but located him the following day. His car was impounded his vehicle for 28 days.
A 31-year-old woman from Wallaroo was reported after being detected driving unlicensed, she also provided a positive drug test for methamphetamine. Her vehicle was impounded for 28 days and pending results from Forensic Services she may be reported for drug driving.
A 27-year-old woman from Wallaroo was reported for driving disqualified. Her vehicle was clamped at her home address for 28 days.
A 26-year-old man from Wallaroo was reported for driving disqualified and the vehicle he was driving was clamped at his home address for 28 days.
Sergeant Tristan Graham says "The results from the weekend are incredibly disappointing. The number of motorists risking their lives and those of others on our roads in staggering."
