Port Augusta has the opportunity to benefit from the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure’s state-wide ‘Jetties Strategic Plan’.
The strategy will review existing jetty infrastructures, including those in the Spencer Gulf, Yorke Peninsula and Eyre Peninsula.
A long-term management plan will be created in an effort to guide future infrastructure investment decisions.
The Strategic Plan aims to maximise benefits to local communities and businesses by channelling funds to priority areas.
To put Port Augusta in the best position to argue the case for our Marine Infrastructure, council encourage locals to make their opinions heard through ‘Your SAy.’
DPTI are seeking submissions of opinion from members of the public, local government and stakeholders online, but locals can also vote over the phone or at Port Augusta’s public Library.
Survey closes Friday 1 November 2019
