A free community skin cancer screening event will be taking place this weekend at the Uni SA campus in Whyalla.
Ran by the Mount Laura Lions Club, SA department of rural health and Bank SA Foundation, the event offers the community a chance to be tested for any spots or irregularities they may be worried about free of charge.
It also comes as a timely reminder as we head into summer to be sun safe. Skin cancer is the third most common cancer in Australia and accounts for approximately 80% of all newly diagnosed cancers.
Bookings are essential for the screenings and more information is available in the community guide.
