A 39-year-old woman from Port Pirie was stopped on Osborne Street for a roadside drug test.
The test returned positive to methamphetamine and sent to the lab for forensic testing.
Police then conducted a search of the vehicle, to find her passenger, a 37-year-old Port Pirie man, in possession of methamphetamine.
He was reported and will be summonsed to appear in the Port Pirie Magistrates Court at a later date.
The woman was issued with a driver direction notice, preventing her from driving for 24 hours after the incident, and may also be summonsed to said court.
