The Clare and Gilbert Valleys Council has announced a $25,000 restoration and conservation fund for heritage listed properties in the council region.
The Heritage Restoration Fund is a competitive grant process and any independently owned property with local or state heritage significance is eligible, so long as they’re already listed within the council’s development plan.
State and Local government owned properties will not be eligible for funding.
The grant may be used for projects exceeding $2,000 such as painting, repairs and extensions, or engaging specialists such as architects – the applicants need only to explain how these efforts will contribute to the heritage value of the region.
Applications can be made via the council until October 10th and here.
