An Open Day featuring a variety of activities aimed at giving adults new learning experiences will be held at the Alex Ramsay Community Hub (ARCH) in Whyalla tomorrow.
It will take place during Adult Learners' Week, which is celebrated around the world and runs from September 1-8 each year.
Advancing Whyalla Community Engagement Coordinator Cathy Hutchinson said the Open Day would include free activities for adults including scrapbooking, making keyrings, baking cakes and more.
"Learning is an ongoing part of our lives, and studies are showing that social isolation and loneliness can be just as bad as smoking. It's about trying to break that cycle of isolation by giving them the opportunity to connect with people in the community and learn new skills." said Cathy.
The event was gives an opportunity for the wider community to explore the community hub and discover the activities available there.
Computer classes will be on offer on the day to help adults learn more about the digital world.
The Open Day run from 10am to 2pm tomorrow
