A man has been arrested after a commercial quantity of abalone was seized by Fisheries officers in a joint operation with police near Hardwicke Bay.
On Friday Fisheries officers from the Department of Primary Industries and Regions South Australia and patrols from Yorke Mid North Local Service Area stopped a car in the area.
Fisheries officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located more than 250 Greenlip abalone and associated equipment.
Fisheries Officers are continuing their investigations into the incident.
A 36-year-old man from Point Pearce was arrested and charged with breach of bail.
He will appear in the Maitland Magistrate Court on the 30th of July.
