Works are continuing this week on the lighting project on Hummock Hill in Whyalla.
The Council is working on installing 60 lights for pedestrians along the Queen Elizabeth Drive access.
The environmentally Total Green lights will be solar powered, lighting the path for the safety of evening and night-time walkers.
Council Project Officer Sam Bourne says the lighting opens up another area of the city for people to enjoy at all times of the day.
Queen Elizabeth Drive will be re-opened to vehicles each day once the contractor has finished working.
Council expect the $58,000 project to be complete by the end of the week.
