The City of Whyalla’s draft Stormwater Management Plan has received a thumbs-up from the local community after the first round of community consultation.
85% of Residents who responded to the survey said they supported the proposed measures from the draft management plan.
The Project Engineer says all the comments provided in the survey will now be taken into consideration when formalising the final SMP document.
The Stormwater Management Plan will now move into the planning and costing stage.
The plan aims to address existing stormwater problems within a catchment and identify opportunities for providing a range of benefits through a multi-objective planning process.
There will be further updates and information sharing with the community as the project progresses.
